
Barret Giehl is a former college dropout, sandwich maker, and nuclear water chemist on a submarine. He is a current father to three children, husband to one wife, and MFA candidate in poetry at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Barret works at UNCW’s Publishing Laboratory and previously held positions on the staff of Chautauqua Journal and Lookout Books. His writing focuses on family, community, and class struggle.
